Most of the albums i 'll post made many millions for the music industry and a lot of what i intend to post still gets repackaged and remastered decades later, squeezing the last drop of profit out of bands that for the most part have ceased to exist long ago, although sometimes they get lured out of the mothballs to do a big bucks gig or tour. Now i'm not as naive to post this kinda music for all to see and have deleted, these will be a black box posts, i'm sorry for those on limited bandwidth but for most of you a gamble will get you a quality rip don't like it, deleting is just 2 clicks...That said i will try to accommodate somewhat and produce some cryptic info on the artist and or album.

artist quote
"the album where I left behind my adolescent definitions of love and freedom-- it was the dividing line."

Todays mystery album is the artist's third album is the third album by, it was released on August 25, 1975 through Columbia Records. It captured the heaviness of the artist's earlier releases while displaying a more diverse range of influences. The album was a critical and commercial success and became his breakthrough album. It peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, eventually selling six million copies in the US by the year 2000.

The album is noted for its use of introductions to set the tone of each song (all of the record was composed on piano, not guitar), and for the Phil Spector-like "Wall of Sound" arrangements and production. Indeed, the artist has said that he wanted "the album" to sound like "Roy Orbison singing Bob Dylan, produced by Spector." Rolling Stone's "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" ranked todays mystery album at number 18, and it's listed in the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry of historic recordings.
